കറുത്ത പാലിൽ ചാടി ആത്മഹത്യക്ക്‌ ശ്രമിച്ച ദിവസം

അദ്ധ്യാപനം തളർത്തിക്കളയുന്ന   ചില ദിവസങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാവാറുണ്ട്. അത്തരം ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ വായനശാലയിൽ ഇരുന്നു പുസ്തങ്ങളിൽ വീണു മരിക്കാറാണ് പതിവ്. ഇന്നും അങ്ങനൊരു ആത്മഹത്യക്കുറച്ചാണ് ആ വഴി ചെന്നതും. പേരിലെ വ്യത്യാസം കൊണ്ട് മാത്രം ഒരു പുസ്തകം കണ്ണിലുടക്കി. ‘കറുത്ത പാൽ’ . എങ്കിൽ കറുത്ത പാലിൽ മുങ്ങിത്തന്നെയാവട്ടെ ഇന്നത്തെ മരണം എന്ന് ഞാനുറച്ചു. ‘മതിലുകൾ’ ആണ് മുന്നിൽ. ബഷീറിന്റെ മതിലുകളും മാധവിക്കുട്ടിയുടെ മതിലുകളും ചാടിക്കടന്ന എനിക്ക് കല്പറ്റ നാരായണന്റെ മതിലൊക്കെ ഒരു മതിലാണോ.!  “ഞാനും ഗാന്ധിയും രക്തസാക്ഷികളായതു ഇന്നാണ് ആഘോഷിക്കണ്ടേ; അവൾ ചോദിച്ചു. ഒരു ജനുവരി മുപ്പത്തിനായിരുന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ വിവാഹം”.  വായിച്ചപ്പോൾ തന്നെ എനിക്ക് ചിരിപൊട്ടി. ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വലിച്ചു ചീന്തിയ ആ ഏടും അതിലെ നർമ്മവും സുചിത്രയോടും പങ്കുവെച്ചു. പുള്ളിക്കാരിക്ക് കൗതുകം. പിന്നെ പൊട്ടിച്ചിരി. കാരണം മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല. ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിന്നും വലിച്ചു ചീന്തിയ ഏടായിട്ടുപോലും അതിന്റെ വക്കിൽ രക്തം പുരണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടു രക്തം കാണുമ്പോൾ ബോധക്ഷയം ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന എനിക്ക് പേടിക്കാനൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായില്ല. ‘മതിലുകൾ’ ചാടിക്കടക്കാൻ തന്നെയുറച്ചു. ഞാൻ എനിക്...
